Donald Lee Keller, age 79 of Veedersburg passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, February 16, 2019. He was born in Fountain County on December 29, 1939 to the late Delmar Ross & Nina Marie (Pritchard) Keller.
Don attended Rabb School and Perrysville High School and married the love of his life, Patricia “Pat” (May) Keller on May 11, 1968. Throughout the years he worked at Olins in Covington, was Chief of Police in Kingman from 1971-1985, and worked as a custodian at Steel Grip and at Southeast Fountain Elementary School for 24 years. He was a member of the Rush Creek Friends Church, the Civil Defense, and the CB Radio Club. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, playing on his ham radio, and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Pat of Veedersburg; his children, Candace Hall, Melanie (Dennis) Lewellen, Linda (Frank) Dykes, Donna (Drew) Craig, Travis (Amanda) Keller, Krystal (Scott) Freed, and Brenda (Levi) Dewey; a sister, Zonda Marie (Stan) Golczynski; Candace’s mother, Carolyn Stevens; 20 grandchildren, Megan, Kody, Alexa, Julianna, Jagger, Eli, Belle, Haley, Savannah, Austin, Lynsee, Chloee, Marley, Andrew, Matthew, Joseph, Kaylee, Alexandria, Brenden, and Maddie; and 5 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; an infant daughter, Madonna Sue Keller; and an infant son, Richard Lee Keller.
A visitation will be at Rush Creek Friends Church, 11025 N Bdale Road, Bloomingdale, IN 47952 on Friday, February 22, 2019 from 4:00pm till the time of the memorial service at 6:00pm with Pastor Doug Newnum officiating.
