Gregory Blanchard

Gregory Dale Blanchard, age 67 of Crawfordsville passed away at home while surrounded by his loving family on Wednesday, September 12, 2018. He was born in Takoma Washington on October 25, 1950 to the late Dale Cecil & Agnes Winfred (Gibbons) Blanchard.

Greg graduated from Valley High School in Las Vegas, Nevada in 1969 and attended University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) for two years. He played on the golf team during high school and while in college. On August 18, 1984, he married the love of his life, Pam (Swank) Blanchard, who survives.

Throughout the years, Greg worked in the pressroom for the Professional Golf Tournaments, was the parts manager at Fleetwood for 15 years, and worked as a forklift operator at Penguin Random House. He was an official for over 23 years for many basketball and soccer games and officiated for the Special Olympics. He was a member of Woodland Heights Christian Church. His passion was playing golf and spending time with his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Pam Blanchard of Crawfordsville; a daughter, Allyson (Mike Largent) Jones of Crawfordsville; a brother, Blair (Jackie) Sexton of Takoma Washington; five grandchildren, Nancy Blanchard, Nick Jones, Bella Jones, Ryan Largent, Ryleigh Largent; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and sister-in-law, Nancy Swank.

Visitation will be at Woodland Heights Christian Church, 468 Woodland Heights Drive, in Crawfordsville on Saturday, September 15, 2018 from 4:00pm till the time of the funeral service at 5:00pm with Pastors Tony Thomas and Steve Wilke officiating.
