Janet Thompson Stuckey

Janet (Thompson) Stuckey, age 74 of Crawfordsville passed away on January 6, 2019 at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis. She was born in Tuscaloosa, Alabama on November 15, 1944 to the late Donald Eugene & Dorothy Jean (Beecher) Thompson.

Janet graduated from Crawfordsville High School and graduated from Indiana University in 1965 with a degree in Political Science.  She married Randal Alan Stuckey on August 28, 1965. Janet committed her life to serving others and served on the original board of Halfway Home. She worked at St. Claire Hospital on the Generations unit for over 10 years as a nurse’s aide.  Janet was a member of the Presbyterian Church and attended New Hope Christian Church in Crawfordsville. She enjoyed reading, quilting, political science, and spending time with her dog.

She is survived by her husband, Randall Allan Stuckey of Crawfordsville; son, Jeff (Julie) Stuckey, of Crawfordsville; daughter, Kimberly Stuckey, of Crawfordsville; four grandchildren; Tressa Gordon, Samantha Gordan, Finnegan Stuckey, and Mary Stuckey; great-grandson, Landon Burris; brother, Neil (Diane) Thompson of Florida; and her dog, Pappy.

At the families request and due to a family emergency, Janet's visitation and memorial service have been postponed.  We will update the website and our facebook page when we know about the arrangements.
