Robert Eugene Comer

Robert Eugene Comer, age 65 of Marshall passed away on Monday, October 14, 2019.  He was born in Springfield, IL on October 6, 1954 to the late Max Eugene & Nora Louise (Burris) Comer.

Bob graduated from Lake Central High School in 1973 and proudly served his country in the United States Army.  On May 11, 1974 he married the love of his life, Lanora “Jean” Comer, who preceded him in death on March 19, 2019.  Throughout the years, Bob worked as a Federal Marshall, worked in construction and in the oil fields in Texas, was a guard at the Women’s Prison in Rockville and worked at Master Guard in Veedersburg.  He was a member of the Beards of the Old Northwest and enjoyed hunting, fishing, riding his motorcycle, had a great sense of humor and always telling jokes.

He is survived by a son, Josh (Clara) Comer; 3 brothers, Clarence (Barbie) Comer, Joe (Karen) Ragan, and David Magdziarz; 5 sisters, Judith (Bobby) Wallen, Sandy Dowd, Linda Shelton, Dianna Markovich, and Sarah Comer; a son-in-law, Anthony Thompson; 11 grandchildren, Corey, Noah, Jonah, Gabrielah, Liberty, Tashina, Lashelle, Alisha, Ayden, Elijah, and Tessa; 6 great grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Jean; his daughter, Laura Thompson; and 2 sisters, Lena Jones and Maxine Schroder.

Visitation will be at Sanders Funeral Care, 203 S 1st Street in Kingman on Saturday, October 19, 2019 from 11:00am till the time of the funeral service at 1:00pm with Pastor Robert Barger.  Cremation will follow the service.  Sanders Funeral Care entrusted with care.  Share memories and condolences online at www.sandersfuneralcare.com
