Betty Jane (Kingston) Hooten, age 87 of Crawfordsville, passed away on Saturday, September 13, 2025. She was born in Equality, Illinois, on April 27, 1938 to the late Benjamin Franklin & Mary Louisa (Kellems) Kingston.
On November 10, 1956 in Corinth, Mississippi, Betty married the love of her life, Lowell Eugene Hooten, who preceded her in death on April 13, 2017. She was a loving mother and homemaker and ran a day care out of her home for 15 years. She enjoyed doing embroidery, loved doing crafts and watching her hummingbirds, and loved spending time with her puppy, Barnaby. She loved her Lord and Savior and attended Calvary Chapel in Crawfordsville.
She is survived by a daughter, Brenda (Paul) Euvino; a grandson, Brian Euvino; a great granddaughter, Elizabeth "Lizzie" Euvino; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Lowell; six siblings, Homer "Pete" Kingston, Jennie Crawford, Mabel Stone, Anna Kingston, Hubert Kingston, and Benjamin Jr. Kingston.
Visitation will be at Sanders Funeral Care, 315 S Washington St, in Crawfordsville on Wednesday, September 17, 2025 from 10:00am till the time of the funeral service at 12:00pm with Pastor Dave Keesee officiating.
