Bobby G. Baity

Bobby "Bob" Baity, age 82, of New Market, passed away on Thursday, May 22, 2025 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born in Danville IL on August 29,1942 to Ernest King and Ova Mae (Hayes) Baity.

Bob graduated from Danville High School. He retired from General Electric after 27 years. Bob spent 45 years as a camper at Sugarmill Lake, where he made many friends and spent a lot of time making memories with his family. In addition to camping, he enjoyed playing Monopoly, Skip-Bo, and Bunco. Bob was an avid NASCAR fan. He married his wife Bertha "Irene" Stingley on June 19,1965, she survives.

Also surviving is his daughter, Angel (Thomas) Clayburn-Holley of Ladoga; two grandsons, Jonathan (Taylor) Clayburn of Crawfordsville and Andrew (Briana) Clayburn of New Market; granddaughter, Kaylyn Clayburn of New Market; great-granddaughter; Jaklyn Clayburn of Crawfordsville; brother, Don Baity of Danville IL.; and many Nieces and Nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter Paula Kay Baity; sister, Barbara Baity Sheets; and son-in-law Jackie Clayburn.

A visitation will be held for Bob at Sanders Funeral Care, 315 S. Washington Street, in Crawfordsville on Thursday, May 29, 2025 from 1:00 pm until the time of funeral service at 4:00 pm. Cremation will follow the service. Share memories and condolences online at www.SandersFuneralCare.com.
