Brooke Ann (Baysinger) Pike

Brooke Ann Pike, 51, of rural Crawfordsville, passed away Sunday, July 16, 2023, at Franciscan Health in Lafayette.

She was born April 28, 1972, in Watertown, South Dakota. She graduated from Clay Central High School in Royal, Iowa, as salutatorian, in 1990. She received a bachelor's degree in International Relations from Mount Vernon College, in Washington, D.C., in 1994. She later did further coursework at Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College in Indiana.

Brooke lived in six states and the District of Columbia, visited Russia and Israel, backpacked through Scandinavia, and met two former U.S. presidents. She worked in state and federal government and then in the education field. She was skilled at cooking and made it an important part of her life. She also loved cats and adopted or fostered many stray cats over the years. Brooke was an active participant in many churches throughout her life, most recently at CrossWay Covenant Church in New Market.

She is survived by her husband of 26 years, William E. Pike, and by their son, Jacob B. Pike. A Celebration of Life service is being planned for a later date. Cremation was chosen with Sanders Funeral Care entrusted with arrangements. Share memories and condolences at www.SandersFuneralCare.com.
