Carrel Asbury

Mr. Carrel Dean Asbury, 52, Lafayette, passed away Sunday in his home. He was born on February 21, 1958, in Danville, IL to Donald D. & Lilly (Turner) Asbury. He had been married to Katie Asbury and they later divorced. He attended Crawfordsville High School and had worked as a painter and loved to coon hunt.

Mr. Asbury is survived by his Mother of Crawfordsville; a son, Carrel D. Asbury, Jr. of Flora: 2 sisters: Darla Ratcliff and Connie (Terry) Whitlow both of Crawfordsville. He is also survived by his former wife of Lafayette; a grandson, Malaki Asbury, and a good friend who looked after him, Jeff Gossett of Lafayette.

Graveside services will be held Thursday at 2:30 PM at the Wesley Cemetery near Waynetown, officiated by Rev. Seth Stultz.
