Chiral Marie Carpenter-Waterman

Ms. Chiral M. Carpenter-Waterman of Crawfordsville, In. passed away Wednesday morning September 30, 2020 at the home of her daughter in Waynetown, IN. following an extended illness. Chiral was born October 13, 1950 in Fresno, CA. the daughter of Robert  and Elizabeth (Edwards) Carpenter and was raised and graduated high school there.  She joined the US Army in February 1978 and received an honorable discharge 10 months later. Chiral lived most of her life in California but moved to Indiana in 2012 where she was actively involved in the operations of Coal Creek Cellars Winery near Crawfordsville with her long time companion Ron Wojtaszek. She was formerly a member of the Crawfordsville Moose Lodge and volunteered for many charities including "Wine for water". She was known for her beautiful gift baskets she donated to many charity auctions.

Chairal is survived by her daughter Liz Cass of Waynetown, IN. her loving long time companion Ron Wojtaszek of Crawfordsville,IN : brothers Paul Carpenter, Omaha, NE. and Mike Hudson, Fresno Ca.; sisters Beverly Hudson, Kirbyville, TX and Patty Carpenter, Phoenix, AZ. She was preceded in death by her parents.

A visitation will be held for Chiral on Saturday October 3rd at the Coal Creek Cellars, 3573 West US Hwy 136, Crawfordsville, IN from 12 noon until 2:00pm followed by a Graveside Funeral Service at Waynetown Masonic Cemetery with military honors.
