David Neil Chesney, age 69, of Waynetown, passed away on Tuesday, March 24, 2026 at his home. He was born in Dallas, Texas on May 22, 1956 to the late Herbert Chesney and Peggy Marie (Neil) Watson.

David married, Annette Booher on July 2, 1994, she preceded him in death on March 23, 2024. He retired from Brand Electric and Gaylor Electric where he worked as a Master Electrician. David enjoyed gun smithing and golfing. He loved spending time with his family and friends.

David is survived by his son, Jason (Latosha Duncan) Runion; sisters, Kathy (Jim) Chiles and Cia Watson; grandchildren, Braxton (Shyann Selleck) Wilhite, Alexiss (Kaden) Hickman, Ivan Runion, and Tyler Runion; and great-grandchildren, Theo, Mirah, and Brooklyn.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Annette Chesney; and brother, Aaron Chesney.

A visitation will be held for David at Sanders Funeral Care, 202 Bratton Street in Waynetown on Monday, March 30, 2026 from 4:00 pm until the time of memorial service at 5:00 pm. Burial will take place at Waynetown Masonic Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to the funeral home to assist the family with funeral costs.
