David D. Crumm

David Dennis Crumm, 76, passed away on Wednesday, March 20, 2024 in Florida. He was born on November 19, 1947 to Damon and Jacquelyn (Schultz) Crumm in Crawfordsville. He married Janet Rhoads on September 14, 1968 at the Mace United Methodist Church.

David graduated from New Ross High School, Class of 1966 and attended drafting school in Minnesota. He proudly served in the Indiana Army National Guard. David took over the family farm, and continued farming in the New Ross area for over 50 years, retiring in 2017. He was a longtime member of the Mace United Methodist Church, serving as a Trustee. He was also involved with the He-men Group, working on small county building projects and wheelchair ramps for those in need. David was an active part of his community, as a former member of the FSA, Walnut Township Trustee and Mace Cemetery Board for over 40 years. David enjoyed designing and building projects around the house and farm.

David is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Janet; 3 daughters, Stacy (Greg) Miller of Madison, AL, Robin (Jason) Cox of Crawfordsville and Nicole (Matt) Hester of Crawfordsville; 10 grandchildren, Justin Hollinger, Payton Miller, Brooke Baird, Devin Miller, Klaudia Cox, Jordan Turner, Sydnee Turner, Hayden Turner, Madison Hester and Cayson Hester; 5 great grandchildren; brother, Phillip Crumm.

He is predeceased by his parents and a son, Ryan Crumm.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in David's memory to The Animal Welfare League of Montgomery County, 1104 Big 4 Arch Road, Crawfordsville, IN 47933.

Visitation will be held on Friday, March 29, 2024 from 4-7pm at Sanders Priebe Funeral Care, 315 S Washington Street in Crawfordsville. A funeral service will be held on Saturday with a visitation from 10 am until the time of the service at 11 am. Military Honors will be provided by the United States Army and American Legion, Post 72. Burial will follow at the Mace Community Cemetery.
