Debra Louise (Bishop) Ritchey, age 72 of Kingman, passed away on Wednesday, June 17, 2026 at home while surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Danville, Illinois on May 20, 1954 to the late Gail and Helen (Livengood) Bishop.
Deb graduated from Turkey Run High School in 1972. On December 27, 1973, Deb married Steven Ritchey, the love of her life, who survives her. Together, they built a beautiful life filled with laughter, cherished moments, and a loving home. Deb was a devoted mother and homemaker, known for her caring nature and infectious enthusiasm for life.
Throughout her career, Deb dedicated herself to serving others, working at the VA Hospital in Danville, Illinois, and later in Wichita, Kansas and retired after 22 years at CSI in Crawfordsville.
Deb had a passion for life's simple joys. She loved playing Yahtzee, indulging in ceramics, strumming her guitar, and caring for her beloved birds, Huey and McGurdy. Her playful spirit and vibrant energy brought smiles to those around her, and she will be deeply missed
She is survived by her husband, Steve of Kingman; three children, Samantha (Brad) Bowman of Rockville, Shaun (Shannon) Ritchey of Bismark, Illinois and Brittany (Nathan) Harding of Kingman; eleven grandchildren, Aireanna Bowman, Isaiah Bowman, Dakota (Jadyn) Ritchey, Bailey (Kylie) Ritchey, Alyssa (Davion) Ritchey, Hannah (Trenton) Hill, Chastity Teeguarden, Abigail Harding, Kadence Teeguarden, Paul Harding, and Elexa Harding; three great grandchildren, Lilly, Solus, Hazel and more on the way; two brothers, Donald (Nancy) Bishop and Greg Bishop; a sister, Pamela (Johnny) Wrightsman; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Robert Bishop; and a grandson, Tre Billot.
Visitation will be at Sanders Funeral Care, 203 S 1st Street, in Kingman on Monday, June 22, 2026 from 12:00pm till the time of the funeral service at 2:00pm with Brad Bowman officiating. Burial will follow at Poplar Grove Cemetery in Marshall. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given in her memory to St. Judes Children's Hospital, https://www.stjude.org/give.html .
