Donald McMurray

Mr. Donald Ralph McMurray, 71, Crawfordsville, passed away Tuesday, September 3, at 1:25 PM, in the Ben Hur Nursing Home. He was born November 17, 1941, in Crawfordsville, to Richard Issac and Ola (Dowell) McMurray.

Mr. McMurray was the Manager of the Ben Hur Drive-In Theater for many years and did handyman work when the drive-in was not in operation. He was a graduate of Crawfordsville High School; completed heating & air conditioning training; was a U. S. Army Vietnam Veteran, where he received a Bronze Star and a Purple Heart; was a member of the Crawfordsville First Christian Church; and enjoyed in his free time doing mechanical work on cars.

He is survived by 13 nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers: Richard Lee McMurray and Bill McMurray; sisters: Nancy Wilkinson and Mildred Bingham; and 1 nephew.

Cremation was selected. A memorial gathering is being planned by the family to be held at a later date. Powers-Priebe Funeral Home is assisting with the cremation service. Memorials may be made to the: Crawfordsville Public Library, 205 S. Washington St., Crawfordsville, IN 47933
