Mr. Donald L. Reese, age 74, formerly of Hillsboro, In passed away at 11:35 pm Sunday evening August 30, 2015 at Sugnature Health Care of Lafayette where he had resided for the past 2 1/2 years.
Donald was born in Warren County Indiana on July 8, 1941 the son of Ben Lee and Thelma (nee:Mickles) Reese and attended the Attica schools. After school he served in the National Guards and then married Beverly Johnson in 1962. They later divorced but remained life long friends. Don loved to cook and worked as a cook for a time, was a house painter and worked as a bartender at Sissy's Tavern in Veedersburg where he had many friends. He loved to meet and talk to poeple.
Don is survived by his ex-wife and friend Beverly Lake of Attica. Sons: Bradley Reese of West Lebanon, In. Gregory Reese of Attica, In. Troy Reese of West Lebanon, In. and Bobby Reese of Crawfordsville, In. Also daughters Jamie (Mike) Harvey of Wallace, In. and Jennifer Dante Wells of Shadeland, In. Brother: Thomas Reese of Veedersburg, IN. and sisters: Marge Howard of Williamsport, In. Juanita Wurtsbaugh of Veedersburg, In. and Annabell (Stevew) Ward of Fort Worth, TX 14 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. He was pre-deceased by his parents and brothers Bob and Larry Reese.
It was Don's desire to have cremation. The family will celebrate Don's life at a later date at the home of Mike and Jamie Harvey.
