Donna Long

Donna Long, age 86 of Crawfordsville, and formerly of New Castle and Indianapolis, passed away on Tuesday, June 5, 2018 at Franciscan Health Crawfordsville. She was born in New Castle, Indiana on September 7, 1931 to the late Kermit O. and Nola C. (Wolfe) Gauchat.

Donna graduated from New Castle High School in 1949 and was a member of the First Presbyterian Church there. On May 16, 1953 she married Donald Max Long of Crawfordsville, who preceded her in death on February 16, 2004. She was retired from RR Donnelley & Sons in Crawfordsville and also retired from Experience Works Staffing Service in Crawfordsville. She was a real estate broker for several years in Crawfordsville and also worked for Western Electric while she lived in Indianapolis.

She loved the outdoors, was an avid sports fan and enjoyed watching sports on tv.

She is survived by her son, Tony Long of Crawfordsville; a grandson, Ryan (Erin) Long and a great grandson, Grant Long, all of Huntersville, North Carolina; and a daughter-in-law, Brenda Long of Waynetown.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Donald; a son, Thomas B. Long; two infant twin sons; two infant grandsons; and two sisters, Barbara Beeson and Mary Ellen Shinn.
