Doris "Ginny" Bradshaw

Doris "Ginny" Virginia Bradshaw, age 87, of Darlington, passed away on Wednesday, January 7, 2026. She was born in Glasgow, Kentucky on November 19, 1938 to the late Dent and Icy (Shaw) Hurt.

After attending Colfax High School, Ginny dedicated 35 years of her life as the Postmaster of the Darlington Post Office. She had a passion for crocheting, reading, and spending time outdoors. She cherished spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Ginny is survived by her daughters, Debra (Jack) Corey and Diane Bradshaw; grandchildren, Matthew (Brittany) Mershon, Meaghan Mershon, Michael Mershon, Huston Gerald, Hillary (Kyle) Zufall, and Timothy Laycock; 11 great-grandchildren; and sister, Jo Ann Morin.

She was preceded in death her parents, husband, Edwin; grandson, Cameron Gerald, two sisters, Marie Phillipo and Opal Murphy; and two brothers, William Hurt and Randall Hurt.

A private family service will be held for Ginny. Burial will take place at Greenlawn Cemetery in Darlington.
