Evalyn Oppy

Mrs. Evalyn May Oppy, 93, Crawfordsville, passed away at 7:23 PM on Sunday, October 14, in the St. Elizabeth Central Hospital, Lafayette. She was born May 12, 1919, in Montgomery County, to Homer and Mabel (Baldwin) Price. She married Walter R. Oppy, August 30, 1940 in Waynetown. He preceded her in death in 2003.

Mrs. Oppy was homemaker; was educated in Indiana and Wisconsin schools; and enjoyed crocheting.

She is survived by her son: Steven Oppy, Carjohna, New York. Also surviving are 3 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by 6 sisters and 1 brother.

A Public Graveside service will be held on Thursday, October 18, at 2:30 PM in the Waynetown Masonic Cemetery with Rev. Dwight Herin officiating. There will not be a public visitation.
