Fred Cordes

Mr. Fred W. Cordes, 86, Crawfordsville, passed away Friday, November 30, at 5:19 AM, in the Hickory Creek of Crawfordsville Healthcare. He was born February 20, 1926, in Crawfordsville, to Arthur and Flossie (Murphy) Cordes. He married Ruth Howard January 14, 1955, in Crawfordsville. She survives.

Mr. Cordes retired from Alcoa of Lafayette after 33 years of employment. He was a member of the Englewood Church of Christ and enjoyed doing woodworking.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by nieces: Kelly Brock and Suzi Pearson; nephew: Mark Cordes; and several nieces and nephews on Ruth's side of the familly. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Carroll Cordes.
