Garry Lee Kiger

Garry Lee Kiger, age 67 of Bedford, Indiana passed away on Wednesday, October 26, 2022 at IU Health Bedford. He was born on October 12, 1955 in Danville, IL to the late Carl Eugene & Elva Grace (Woodrum) Kiger.

Garry attended Covington High School and enlisted in the United States Navy and proudly served his country and traveled the world. On November 26, 1976 he married the love of his life, Susie McMasters. He was a loyal and dedicated worker for General Motors for over 50 years, working at the plants in Tilton, IL, Defiance, OH, and Bedford, IN as a machine operator and hot metal forklift driver. He enjoyed camping, going out on the pontoon boat, and spending time with his family.

He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Susie Kiger of Bedford; two children, Jason (Lisa) Kiger of Dayton, OH and Melissa (Paul) McArtor of Bedford, IN; three granddaughters, Alexis Lambert, Taylor Kiger, and Autumn Kiger; six brothers, Bob (Robin) Kiger, Scott Kiger, Kevin (Danna) Kiger, Chris Kiger, Larry (Rhonda) Kiger, and Leslie Kiger; 3 sisters, Pam Norman, Teresa Moyer, and Lisa Kiger; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, Elvin Kiger, Karl Kiger, Billy Kiger, and Melvin Kiger; and a sister, Sharon Lamb.

There will be a Graveside Service on Tuesday, November 1, 2022 at 1:00 pm at Coal Creek Cemetery, 2351 W Snoddy Road, Covington, Indiana with military honors by the United States Navy and Post 72 Honor Guard.
