George E. Million

Mr. George E. Million, age 81, of rural Crawfordsville, IN. passed from this life Sunday morning January 26, 2020 at the home of his daughter.  He was born on September 1, 1938 in Lee County, Kentucky the son of Henry Richard and Mildred Pearl (nee Worthington) Million. The family moved to Indiana and George attended Wallace High School before becoming a member of the US Navy in 1956. George married Vonda G. Long and they raised a family in Fountain and Montgomery Counties while he worked as a union carpenter. He loved to build things working with his hands, observing nature and playing cards at the Crawfordsville Moose Lodge #6.

George is survived and greatly missed by his wife Vonda of Crawfordsville, sons Garth (wife Gloria) Million, Randal (wife Lou) Million, Brad Plank and daughter Renee (husband Garry) Miller all of Crawfordsville, In. He also leaves behind brothers Bill of Stonebluff, In. and Johnny of GA., sisters Judy Denney of Lafayette, IN. and Cathy Doster of GA. He will be missed by 10 grandchildren and several great grandchildren and he was preceded in death by his parents, 3 brothers and 2 sisters.

Funeral services for George will be conducted at 1:00 PM Saturday February 1st at Shoemaker Funeral Home, 202 Bratton Rd. Waynetown, IN. with burial following in Wallace Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11:00am that day until the services at 1:00pm.
