Michael Young

Michael Young, age 72 of Covington, passed away at home on Saturday, May 31, 2025. He was born In Lafayette, Indiana on February 14, 1953, to the late Silas P. & Evadna (Morgan) Young.

Michael graduated from Fountain Central High School in 1971 and graduated from the Indiana Law Enforcement Academy. He worked in Elkhart County Indiana as a conservation officer for almost 20 years, worked at Fountain County Community Corrections then as a jailer at the Fountain County Sheriff's Department. He was a jack of all trades, loved the outdoors and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Police and Prairie Creek Baptist Church.

On June 27, 2009 he married Diane Lynn Young, who survives. He also leaves behind his daughter, Grace Elizabeth Young, his church family and many friends.

Visitation will be at Sanders Funeral Care, 203 S 1st Street, in Kingman on Wednesday, June 4, 2025, from 2:00pm till the time of the funeral service at 3:00pm with Pastor Loren Stephens officiating.
