Harold R. Gentry, 79, New Market, passed away Monday at 4:00 AM at his home. He was born October 8, 1931, in Linden, Indiana, to Ralph and Edith (Seybole) Gentry. He married Donna Enoch on July 12, 1953 in Crawfordsville. She survives.

Mr. Gentry started Harold Gentry Plumbing in April 1962 in New Market and operated it for 43 years. He had also worked at Mid-States Steel and Wire, and Inland Container. He was a 1951 graduate of New Market High School; was a U S Navy SeaBee Korean War Veteran; past president of the Crawfordsville Kiwanis Club; very active member of the New Hope Christian Church, Crawfordsville, and the New Hope Christian Church, Venice, Florida; member of the Alamo Masonic Lodge # 144, Crawfordsville Commandery #25 Knights Templar, Crawfordsville Chapter #40 RAM, Montgomery Council #34 R&SM. He enjoyed traveling, his grand kids, and working puzzles.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by daughter: Dee (Dan) Booth, Crawfordsville; sons: Dennis (Lisa) Gentry, New Market; Jeff (Debbie) Gentry, Indianapolis; and Gary (Becky) Gentry, Brighton, Michigan: brother; Donald (Elaine) Gentry, Harrisonburg, Virginia: 11 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; granddaughter, Annie Booth; and great grandchild, Morgan Gentry.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 23, at 10:00 AM at the New Hope Christian Church, 2746 S. US 231, Crawfordsville, with Revs. Harold Keck and Rob Brown officiating. Burial will be at the Indian Creek Hill Cemetery, New Market. Friends may call at the church on Wednesday, June 22, from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM. MIlitary

honors will be conducted by the VFW and American Legion Posts of Crawfordsville.
