John William Elliott

John William Elliott, age 90 of Crawfordsville passed away on Sunday, July 15, 2018 at Williamsburg Health Care. He was born in Peebles, OH on May 7, 1928 to the late John Melvin & Elva Susanne (Williams) Elliott.

John was a farmer that loved the country life and his animals. He also worked at Kroger on Darlington Ave as a sacker and retired from there after 19 years. He was a friendly guy that didn’t know a stranger. He loved people and also enjoyed visiting his neighbors. He was a member of the Roachdale Baptists Church.

He is survived by three sisters, Ida Christine Booher, Mildred M. (Richard) Marshall, and Carol Maxine (Terry) Consoer, all of Crawfordsville; three nephews, Tim Booher, Tony Marshall, and Jeff (Val) Consoer; and four nieces, Kym (Paul) Bushong, Denise (John) Walker, Christi Booher, and Susan Booher.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Robert Elliott; two nieces, Carolyn Norris and Betty Holt; and a nephew, Robert Elliott.

Visitation will be at Sanders Priebe Funeral Care, 315 S Washington St. in Crawfordsville on Thursday, July 19, 2018 from 1:00pm till the time of the funeral service at 2:00pm. Burial will follow at Indian Creek Hill Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Montgomery County Animal Shelter, 1104 Big Four Arch Rd, Crawfordsville, IN 47933.
