Joseph Fruits

Mr. Joseph Allen Fruits, 70, Crawfordsville, passed away peacefully Wednesday, April 8, at 10:25 PM in the Lane House Nursing Home. He was born November 2, 1943, in Crawfordsville, to James and Mary L. (Lewellen) Fruits.

Mr. Fruits was retired from Masterguard where had been a Fork Lift Driver. He also had worked for Moser Farms, Waveland and RR Donnelleys. He was a 1961 graduate of New Market High School; was in the U. S. Army Reserves; enjoyed building furniture; playing pool; riding horses; and loved all sports.

He is survived by his daughter: Anna Fruits, Kingman; son: Joseph Scott Rooks, Ladoga; step-daughters: Penny Royer, Crawfordsville; Tracy Arjona, Little Rock, Arkansas; brothers: Fred (Peg) Fruits, Crawfordsville; Tom Fruits, Crawfordsville; Ron (Leesa) Fruits, Avilla, Indiana; sisters: Jean (Don) Moser, Waveland; and Nancy Herbers, Crawfordsville. He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter: Leesa Dawn Fruits; brothers: John and Jerry Fruits.
