Joe Sanders

Joseph Earl Sanders, age 70, passed away unexpectedly on April 29th, 2025, at Franciscan Health Lafayette. He was born in Danville, Illinois on January 14, 1955, to the late Elmer "Red" & Betty Jo (Corey) Sanders. He attended Fountain Central High School. For most of his adult life Joe was a truck driver and a friend to all he met. He was part of Martin Farms for several years. He enjoyed fishing and loved his family, his friends and his pets.

On October 20, 1972 he married, Brenda (Colbert) Sanders, who survives. He also leaves behind his children, Larry, Rodney (Victoria), and Melissa (Michael); his seven grandchildren, Whitney, Audrey, Sabrina, Stella, Jimmy, Hank and Harlan; four great-grandchildren, Kyler, Asher, Juniper and Kymber; two sisters, Emma "Tootie" Plunkett and Helen (George) Plunkett; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer "Red" & Betty Jo (Corey) Sanders. his stepfather Clyde Nelson; his infant son, Scotty Joe Sanders; four brothers, Buck, Bill, Jim and Butch; and his sister, Peach Robinson.

Visitation will be at Sanders Funeral Care, 203 S 1st Street, in Kingman on Sunday, May 4, 2025, from 2:00pm till the time of the funeral service at 4:00pm. Cremation will follow the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to the funeral home to assist with funeral expenses.
