Kathleen "Kathy" Sue Dreher, age 64, went to be with her heavenly father on Thursday, November 27, 2025 at 3:50am surrounded by her loved ones after a courageous battle with metastatic spindle cell sarcoma.
Kathy was born on November 12, 1961 to Theodore DuBois and Carol Abraham; and was raised by her mother Carol and her step-dad Henry Abraham in Wilmington, Illinois.
Kathy met the love of her life, her husband Brian Dreher in 2000. They met through a newspaper dating ad and had their first date at Barnes and Noble and from that moment on their love grew, through the joys and sorrows, Brian never left Kathy's side. They married April 6, 2001. They lived in Joliet, Illinois until September 2020, when they moved to their home in Crawfordsville, Indiana to be closer to their grandchildren.
Kathy was a hard worker. She had worked as a patient care tech when she lived in Illinois and she loved her role, taking care of and helping others. Most recently since moving to Indiana, Kathy worked at Banjo and took pride in her job as a trainer.
Kathy enjoyed gardening, baking, shopping, and getting the family together for cookouts and parties, where there was always so much love and food. But her greatest honor of all was being Granny. Kathy loved her grandchildren more than anything in the world, and she took that title seriously. She spoiled her grandchildren beyond measure and loved them immensely, especially her youngest granddaughter, Kinsley. They were the best of friends and two peas in a pod.
Kathy is survived by her husband, Brian Dreher; her two sons and daughter-in-law that she loved like her own; Josh Feazel and Douglas (Tasha) Feazel; two step-children, Patti (Tim) Murray and Brian (Stephanie) Dreher; a chosen son, Jerry Olson; twelve grandchildren, Nicholas Grabill, Elijah, Collin, Michael, Tucker, Kamdyn and Kinsely Feazel, Owen, Allyson, and Daniel Murray, and Audrina and David Dreher; and three sisters, Barbara DuBois, Lorraine (Randy) Smith, and Diane (Scott) Gregory.
Kathy was preceded in death by her parents, Theodore DuBois and Carol and Henry Abraham; her beautiful daughter, Amber Grabill; and her grandson, Gavin Grabill.
Kathy's family would like to thank her wonderful hospice nurses at Elara Caring, who went above and beyond with the level of care they provided. An extra special thanks to nurses, Carey, Kayla, Chelsi, John and Terris.
