Kyle Austin Blaydes, age 52 of Crawfordsville, passed away on July 6, 2026 from injuries sustained in an accident. He was born in Greenville, South Carolina on September 19, 1973 to Keith and Sharon (Rice) Blaydes.
A proud graduate of Southmont High School in 1992, Kyle went on to earn his bachelor's degree in Agricultural Economics from Purdue University. His passion for farming was evident in every aspect of his life; he loved the land, his tractors, and the simple joy of getting his equipment stuck in the fields. Beyond farming, Kyle was a man of simple pleasures-a lover of vibrant family gatherings, card games of Euchre, and grilling out on sunny afternoons. He cherished the moments spent on road trips with his family and always found joy in the playful antics of his beloved dogs, Dexter, Stella, and his best friend Paislee. Kyle built a tremendous base of friends by giving, supporting, and serving his neighbors, classmates, and family. His legacy will be his lasting relationships and enduring kindness to others.
He was a member of Parkersburg Christian Church, Alpha Gamma Rho fraternity - where he served on Purdue Grand Prix board, Montgomery County 4-H Inc, Southmont School board member, and Alpha Gamma Rho fraternity board.
On February 10, 2026, Kyle married the love of his life, Olivia Blaydes, who survives him alongside their blended family. He is also deeply missed by his sons, Drake and Drew Blaydes; his three stepchildren, Brett Warren, Tori (Colton) Rowland, and Jack Warren; his loving parents, Keith and Sharon Blaydes; his sister, Shannon (Craig) Peterson; and his adoring nieces and nephew, Hannah, Alexis, and Connor Peterson.
Kyle's spirit will forever be alive in the hearts of all who knew him. To celebrate his life, a visitation will be held at Rock Point Church, 429 W 150 S, Crawfordsville on Friday, July 10, 2026, from 4:00pm till 8:00pm where friends and family will come together to share memories and stories that bring smiles through tears. A memorial service will be at the church on Saturday, July 11, 2026, at 12:00pm with Pastor Brian Saunders officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to the Hoosier Heartland State Bank (Kyle Blaydes Benefit Fund) or Venmo "Kyle Blaydes Benefit Fund" (with intent to benefit underprivileged youth in Montgomery County).
