Latricia Ellen Dowell

Mrs. Latricia Ellen Dowell, 84, Crawfordsville, passed away peacefully at 1:00 AMThursday, August 24th, 2017, in the Lane House Nursing Home. She was born October 31st, 1932, in Crawfordsville, to Marion Albert and Hallie Frances (Turner) Deck.She married Homer Dowell on July 5th, 1952, in Crawfordsville.He preceded her in death in 2007.

Latricia was a Homemaker and did Home Health Care.She was a graduate of New Market High School; a member of the One Way Pentecostal Apostolic Church; and in her free time enjoyed cooking, baking, and canning.

She is survived by her children: Pam Emerson; Rhonda (Tom) Emerson; Harold (Robin) Dowell; and Ralph (Corinna) Dowell; all of Crawfordsville.Also surviving are her sisters: Anna Thompson, Crawfordsville, and Madonna (Bill) Frazier, Salkum, Washington; her brothers: Ed (Wilma) Deck, Centralia, Washington; Fred (Jeanie) Deck, Crawfordsville; Bob Deck, Crawfordsville; Jack (Betty) Deck, Waynetown; 11 grandchildren; and several great-grndchildren.In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; 2 sons: Carl and Jerry Dowell; sister: Joyce Day; brothers: Alfred and Charles Deck; and 2 infant brothers.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 PM Tuesday, August 29th, at Powers-Priebe Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Indian Creek Hill Cemetery at New Market. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday from Noon until 2:00 PM.
