Lewis M Lewellen

Mr. Lewis M. Lewellen, age 86, of Crawfordsville, IN. passed away on Monday November 26, 2018 at 4:50 a.m., at Hickory Creek Nursing Home in Crawfordsville, IN.

Lewis was born February 28, 1932 at Waynetown, IN.  The son of Edward O. and Mary Frances (nee: West) Lewellen, and attended school in Waynetown.  He served in the US army in the Korean war and then he worked as a machinist at Hoosier Crown Cork and Seal before his retirement.  Lewis was married to Beverly Ann Ryker and they had three sons before they divorced.

Lewis is survived by his sons: Robert, Mike and Jeff Lewellen all of Crawfordsville, IN. and brothers: Gordon (Doc) (Wife Shirley) Lewellen and Robert Leon (Wife Gloria) Lewellen of Crawfordsville, IN and a sister Ruth Marie Howard of Ohio.  He also has 8 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by 2 brothers: John Thomas Lewellen and Clifford Edward Lewellen and a sister: Frances Rae Williamson and 2 great grandchildren.

It was Lewis's wish to have a simple cremation and a celebration of life at a later date.  Shoemaker Funeral Home, 202 Bratton Rd. Waynetown was entrusted with these arrangements.
