Louis Ralph Green

Louis Ralph Green, age 83, passed away on Thursday, November 27, 2025 at Wellbrooke of Crawfordsville. He was born on April 27, 1942 to Kenneth and Helen (Mason) Green in Perrysville. Louis married Sandra (Coleman) on December 21, 1963.

He was a graduate of Perrysville High School and Indiana State University, earning his bachelor's degree in accounting. Louis was the President of Conestoga Wood Specialties, retiring in 2001. He enjoyed spending time outdoors, mowing and caring for his yard, and spent many days on the lake with his family. Louis was passionate about his family, caring for and providing for them. He was lovingly referred to as "Papaw Grape" by his great-grandchildren. He will be best remembered for his infectious laughter and his appreciation for people with a good sense of humor.

The scripture he lived by and walked out was Proverbs 3:5-6, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight."

Louis is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Sandra; 3 children, Robin (Andrew) Ballew, Troy (Julie) Green and LouAnn (Chris) Gonzalez; 6 grandchildren, Rachel Horn, Heather Stegeman, Caleb Ballew, Joshua Ballew, Ayden Gonzalez and Isabella Gonzalez; and 9 great-grandchildren, Elijah, Anjali, Emily, Andrew, Avery, Amelia, Luna, Wesley and Elowyn. He will also be missed by his brother, Kenny (Joan) Green and several nieces, nephews and extended family.

Louis was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Larry Green.

A graveside service will be held at Mount Hope Cemetery in Covington, Indiana on Wednesday, December 3, 2025 at 1:00pm with Andrew Ballew officiating. Share memories and condolences online at www.SandersFuneralCare.com.
