Madeline LaVon Clarkston

Madeline LaVon (Williamson) Clarkston, age 96, of Kingman passed away at 7:57pm on August 29, 2015 at the Waters of Covington. She was born in Parke County on July 4, 1919 to the late Ira W and Ottie (Miller) Williamson.

LaVon graduated from Newport High School and on March 24, 1944 she married the late, Samuel B. Clarkston, who preceded her in death on July 8, 1983. She was a farmer's wife and homemaker and a member of the Kingman Christian Church. She loved to garden, cook, sit on her swing, read her bible, visit with family and friends, and loved to play Aggravation.

She is survived by a son, Dave (Tammy) Clarkston of Kingman; three grandchildren, Amanda (Elijah) Froedge, Samantha Clarkston, and Dustin Clarkston; two great-grandchildren, Wyatt and Macey; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Samuel; four brothers; and one sister.

Family will receive friends from 11:00am to noon with the funeral at noon on Wednesday, September 2, 2015 at Sanders Funeral Care, 203 S 1st Street, in Kingman with Pastor Kenny Majors officiating.
