Margaret E. Tague

Mrs. Margaret E. (nee: Redenbaugh) Starnes Tague, age 98, formerly of Wallace, In. and Crawfordsville, In. passed away on Friday September 11, 2015 at Brownsburg Health Care.

Margaret was born on February 21, 1917 in Fountain county Indiana, the first of 5 children to Claude and Christa (nee:Gray)Redenbaugh and graduated from Kingman High School in 1935. As a young woman she worked at the telephone switchboard and in the bank to help support the family in the aftermath of the great depression. Margaret enjoyed church and church functions. She taught Sunday School and AWANA. She was a member of Yeddo Baptist church and attended Pittsboro Baptist church after moving there. She cared for her grandbabies when they were born, enjoyed family gatherings, playing board games, working word puzzles, traveling, hiking in the woods and reading. She was well loved by all that knew her. She married Harold Starns on February 18, 1940 and he died January 2, 1985. She then married Herman Tague on May 1. 1993 and he died September 16, 2010.

Margaret is survived by her son: John (Shawn) Starns of Fairfax, VA., daughter-in-law; Teresa Starns of Pittsboro, IN., and former daughter-in-law Bev Starns, of Manassas, VA. Step children: Jim Tague and Pam (Kenny) Irelan and step son-in-law, Billy Hall all of Marshall, IN. Brother Dick (Anna) Redenbaugh of Crawfordsville, IN., and sister Martha (John) Lee of Indianapolis, IN. Six grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, son: Joseph R. Starns, grandson Jeremy Starns, brother, Bob Redenbaugh, sister Mary Vestal and half sister Helen Springer.

Funeral services for Margaret Starns Tague will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 17, at the Pittsboro Baptist church, 201 S. Maple St., Pittsboro, IN. with Pastor Brock Evans officiating. Burial will follow in Zackmire Cemetery on Zachmire Hill Road Kingman, IN., at approximately 12 noon. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. till 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the church.
