Michael Edwin Hasty, age 74, of Williamsport passed away at 1019 Belle's Place on Sunday, December 28, 2025. He was born on July 9, 1951, in Lafayette to Edwin and Teresa (Graham) Hasty.
Michael grew up in Indianapolis, where he spent most of his youth working in the family restaurant, The Chicken Inn. After graduating from Warren Central High School in 1969, he moved to Lafayette, where he opened and ran his own restaurant "Hasty's" for a few years. Michael went on to start a fulfilling career at Staley Manufacturing, where he dedicated nearly four decades of his life, from 1978 until his retirement in 2015.
Michael was known for his love of the outdoors, often spending his time hunting and fishing. He also had a passion for antique collecting and riding his Harley Davidson, he affectionately named "Sweet Cheeks."
Michael is survived by his daughter, Charity (Shane) Walkup; fiancée, Sharon Lennon; grandchildren, Michaela Walkup, Kaylee Walkup, and Abbey Mathers; sisters, Barbara Hasty-Morgan, Jane Hasty- Gilliam, and Mariann (Jim) Hasty-Denton; and nieces and nephews, Donna, Steve, Nikki, Scott, Ricky, and Kourtney.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his best friend, Ben.

A visitation will be held for Michael at Sanders Funeral Care in Crawfordsville on Saturday, January 17, 2026 from 11:00 AM until the time of memorial service at 1:00 PM.
