Michael "Mikey" Wayne Hargis

Michael "Mikey" Wayne Hargis, age 61, of Terre Haute, passed away on Wednesday, February 25, 2026 at his residence. He was born in Greencastle on September 18, 1964, to the late Delmar and Ileen (Boyd) Hargis.

Mikey was a longtime resident of ResCare in Terre Haute. He found joy in rocking and listening to Christmas music. Mikey loved being outdoors especially when the sun was shining brightly.

Mikey is survived by his siblings, Delmar "Gene" Hargis and Jeanette Moore and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, William and David Hargis and Barbara Parke.

Visitation for Mikey will be held at Sanders Funeral Care, 315 S. Washington Street, in Crawfordsville on Monday, March 2, 2026 from 1:00 PM until the time of funeral service at 2:00 PM.
