Michael P. Walton

Michael P. Walton, age 75 of Veedersburg, passed away on August 4, 2025 at Franciscan Health Crawfordsville. He was born on March 2, 1950 to Patrick and Janelle (York) Walton in Yeddo. Michael was lovingly raised in Newtown by Charlie and Doris Jean Clark.

Michael was a graduate of Fountain Central High School, Class of 1969. He worked at Harrison Steel, Raybestos, and Thyssen Krupp in Danville, IL retiring in 2007 after 30 years. Michael married Cathy Sherman in 1972, later divorced in 1988. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. Michael was always found at The Apple Tree, also knowns as "the office," and later Subway, where he drank coffee and kept the company of good friends. He also enjoyed woodworking projects at home.

Michael is survived by his son, Douglas (Raelyn Brockway) Walton; grandchildren, Kenli Jo-Ann Walton and Kinsley Howard; and sisters, Carolyn, Vicki and Linda. He will also be missed by his longtime companion, Pam Glascock; her children, Chad, Aaron and Jennifer; and grandson, Matthew.

He was predeceased by his parents and several brothers and sisters.
