Michael Waye

Mr. Michael G. Waye, 69, Crawfordsville, passed away at 8:40 AM Thursday, December 1, at Franciscan St. Elizabeth East, Lafayette. He was born December 21, 1941, in Crawfordsville, to Forrest G. and Willetta (Wilson) Waye.

>Mr. Waye was a retired diesel mechanic having worked at Dohrn Trucking, Indianapolis, and also retired as a self-employed carpenter. He attended the Harvest Fellowship Church, New Market; was a U. S. Navy Veteran; and a 1960 graduate of Crawfordsville High School.

>He is survived by his daughters: Amy Waye, Oceanside, California, and Andrea (Jeff) Giordano, Vista, California. Also surviving are his sisters: Carole (Jim) Haynes, Lafayette; Marilyn (Pete) Stoneham, Largo, Florida; Margo (John) Oliver, Lafayette; Susan Dobbins, Port Charlotte, Florida; and Jackie (Duane) Aldridge, Attica; his brothers: Dan (Mary) Waye, Shawnee, Kansas; Kevin (Janice) Waye, Little Elm, Texas; and Randy Waye, Port Charlotte, Florida; a grandchild: Jaden Giordano, Vista, California. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 2 sisters: Janis Rogers and Judith Rose.

>Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday, from 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM. Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 5, at 6:00 PM, at Powers-Priebe Funeral Home, 315 S. Washington St., Crawfordsville, with Rev. Glenn McFarland officiating. Cremation was selected with family committal services to be held at a later date in California. Military Honors will be conducted at the funeral home on Monday by the American Legion and VFW Posts of Crawfordsville.
