Muriel Scott

Muriel Ethel Jane Scott, age 86 of Crawfordsville, was reunited with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, August 3, 2025 at home. She was born on December 30, 1938 to William and Lucette (Devine) Smith in Vincennes, IN. Muriel married Thomas Scott on January 11, 1957 at the First Church of Nazarene in Vincennes. They spent 62 loving years together, until Tom's passing in 2018.

Muriel was a graduate of Lincoln High School in Vincennes, Class of 1956. She was a longtime member and Sunday School Teacher of Hillsboro Nazarene Church, a previous member of First Community Church in Lebanon, and most recently attended services at Browns Valley Christian Church outside of Crawfordsville. Muriel and Tom shared their love of the Lord on Mission Trips in Argentina and Mexico. They also enjoyed traveling, visiting 49 states and 4 different countries throughout the years. While raising her own daughters at home, Muriel also enjoyed babysitting for the community. She was often seen caring for their horses.

Muriel is survived by her daughter, Cheryl (Mike) Summers; four grandchildren, Shawn (Elizabeth) Rector, Brandy (Mark) Albright, Keegan (Scott) Fox, and Kelsie Robinson; eight great-grandchildren, Britney, Dominic, Franklin, Serenity, Cash, Parker, Kinslee and Wesley; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Shandol Lea Dulin; granddaughter, Deziarae Albright; and brother, John Smith.

Visitation will be held on Friday, August 8, 2025 at Browns Valley Christian Church, 9011 S State Road 47 outside of Crawfordsville from 1:00 pm until the time of the service at 2:00 pm with Pastor Craig Carrell officiating.
