Raymonde Etter

Mrs. Raymonde "Ray" Etter, 93, New Market, passed away peacefully in her home Sunday, August 9th, at 8:45 PM. She was born on October 28th, 1921, in Etampehs, France, to Fernande and Theresa (Billarand) Maltaire. She married Billy "Bill" Etter on November 21st, 1945, in Etampehs, France. He preceded her in death on April 18th, 2014.

Mrs. Etter retired as the Bookkeeper for L.G. Etter Ford of New Market, where she had worked since coming to the United States. She had also worked as a Bookkeeper for an auto dealership in France. She completed her education in France; was a member of St. Bernard's Catholic Church, Crawfordsville; and a member of the Tri-Kappa Sorority.

She is survived by her daughters: Gisele (Greg) Chrisman, Indianapolis; and Claudette (Steve) Kirk, New Market. Also surviving are her sisters: Odette Berthias, Paris, France; Jacquelene Sedwitz, San Diego, California; and Edith Chambaz, Paris, France.

A Family Committal Service was held Wednesday, August 12th, in the Calvary Cemetery with Fr. Christopher Shocklee officiating
