Rita Peacock

Rita (Carpenter) Peacock of Wallace passed away on Friday, November 22, 2024 with family by her side. She was born in Crawfordsville on June 28, 1964 to Larry Dee & Gladys Irene (Delp) Carpenter.

Rita graduated from Fountain Central High School in 1982 and married the love of her life Keith Peacock, on July 24, 1983. She spent her lifetime working in health care, with 20 plus years at Amedisys Home Health. Rita had a passion for gardening, a smile that would light up the room, and a love for her family and friends that knew no bounds.

Her spirit will live on within those that were left behind. Her loving husband of 41 years, Keith Peacock; three children, Allen Keith Peacock, Jessica (Kenny Merica) Peacock Bowden and Jacob Peacock; four grandchildren, A.J., Aubrie, Aaron and Destiny; her mother Gladys Carpenter; brother, Sonny Carpenter; sister in law, Wanda Jefferies; and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, Larry Dee Carpenter.

Rita will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by all that were blessed enough to know her.
