Roberta B Brock

Mrs. Roberta B. Brock, age 91, joined her husband In heaven on her birthday Sunday March 1, 2020. Roberta was the daughter of Oscar Carl Jones and Vivian Helen (nee Reed) Jones and was born on March 1, 1929 at Covington, IN. The family later moved to Crawfordsville where she graduated high school. Roberta married Richard Brock on June 9, 1950 and he preceded her in death on April 19, 2002. Roberta was a very active lady who never stopped working. She worked at R.R. Donnelley and Son's for a short while, she worked at the neighborhood cleaners, sold Avon products for 20+ years. was known by one and all as the owner/operator of the former "The Snacker Grill" on Market Street, Crawfordsville and worked as a crossing guard for the Crawfordsville School Corp. up until she broke her hip in December of 2019. She was a member of the New Christian Church, Crawfordsville, IN.

Roberta leaves behind her sons, Richard David "Dave" Brock of New Market and Michael Robert (wife Kim) Brock of Crawfordsville, IN. along with her brother Charles Jones of Waynetown, IN. and sister in law Birdia Jones of Darlington, IN.  She will be greatly missed by her grandchildren Kristi Ronco, Susan Porterfield, Niki Ingalsbe, James David Brock, Leeann Brock, Kalea Brock and Makaya Brock and 18 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, borthers Basil Leon Jones, John William Jones and sisters Dixie Reatherford and Patricia Jones.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00pm Wednesday March 4th at Shoemaker Funeral Home, 202 Bratton Rd. Waynetown and officiated by Pastor Jake Lowe, to be followed by cremation with a private family service next week at Waynetown Masonic Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12 noon until the service at 3:00pm on Wednesday.
