Roberta Kay Swain, age 79 of Brownsburg, entered the Kingdom of Heaven on December 13, 2025 at Community Heart and Vascular Hospital in Indianapolis. She was born on June 6, 1946 in Crawfordsville, Indiana to Robert and Dorothy (Stephens) Meadows.

Roberta graduated from Crawfordsville High School, Class of 1964, where she played the clarinet in the band. She was a telecommunication specialist at Hendrick Regional Hospital for over 26 years, retiring in 2015. Roberta grew up attending services at Wesley Church and kept a strong faith throughout her life. She enjoyed making jewelry and watching HGTV and her newest favorite show, Heartland. Roberta was a member of the Hendricks County Library and their book club, always reading a variety of books, including action crime writers, James Patterson and Ann Cleeves and romance novels by Nora Roberts. She was also an avid Colts fan, watching every game on TV.

Roberta is survived by her significant other, Steven Stremming; brother, Jim Meadows; step-daughter, Michelle Brown; nieces and nephews, Angie Fielder, Margaret Jones, Jason Meadows and Misty Browning; and several great nieces, great nephews, extended family. She will also be greatly missed by her many friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Daniel Noland; and brother, John Meadows.

Roberta's wishes were to be cremated with a Celebration of Life in the spring, when the hummingbirds return. In lieu of flowers, Roberta would love for you to plant a tree in her memory.
