Rodney Murdock

Rodney Eugene Murdock, age 62, of Tilton, Illinois, passed away on Saturday, October 4, 2025 at CarleHospital with his family by his side. He was born in Peoria, Illinois on March 12, 1963 to the late Ernest and Betty Jo (Hawn) Murdock.

Rodney graduated from Covington High School in 1981. He worked as a superintendent for the town of Veedersburg. Rodney retired from the Veedersburg Fire Department after 21 years of service. He enjoyed watching NASCAR and telling stories. Rodney was a past member of the Covington Church of Nazarene

Rodney will be deeply missed by his sons, Anthony and Bradley Murdock; his sister, Lisa (Paul) Hardy; nephew, Justin Hardy; niece, Christine Hardy; and ex-wife, Melodie Keller.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Rita Rice; and Greg Murdock.
