Sandra (Coleman) Green, age 84, of Crawfordsville, passed away on Wednesday, July 8, 2026 at Wellbrooke of Crawfordsville. She was born in Covington on March 29, 1942 to the late Robert and Ruth (Carter) Coleman.
Sandra graduated from Covington High School and Indiana State College, earning her Bachelor's Degree in Education. She married Louis Green on December 21, 1963, he preceded her in death on November 27, 2025.
Sandra enjoyed music and regularly sang along with her sisters in a trio called The Three Delights. Sandra loved to study and read the Bible. She loved the outdoors and spending time with her family and grandchildren. Sandra will be best remembered for her energetic laugh and creative ways in which she would play with her grandchildren. She loved people and always had a smile
Sandra is survived by 3 children, Robin (Andrew) Ballew, Troy (Julie) Green and LouAnn (Chris) Gonzalez; 6 grandchildren, Rachel (Clay) Horn, Heather (Derek) Stegeman, Caleb (Jessica) Ballew, Joshua (Madison) Ballew, Ayden (Fiancée Ella) Gonzalez and Isabella Gonzalez; and 9 great-grandchildren, Elijah, Anjali, Emily, Andrew, Avery, Amelia, Luna, Wesley and Elowyn. She will also be missed by her sisters, Myra Deckard and Myrna (Al) Harden, several nieces, nephews and extended family.
Sandra was preceded in death by her husband Louis, her parents, sister Roberta Gibson and brothers Dale and Clyde Coleman.
Graveside service will be held at Mount Hope Cemetery, 11 S Stringtown Road in Covington, Indiana on Tuesday, July 14, 2026 at 10:30 am with Andrew Ballew officiating. Share memories and condolences online at www.SandersFuneralCare.com.
