Sharon Rose (Sparger) Wright

Sharon Rose (Sparger) Wright, age 82, of Crawfordsville, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Tuesday, March 1, 2022 at her home. She was born in Crawfordsville on December 22, 1939 to the late Robert William and Agnes O. (Swank) Sparger.

Sharon was one of the first EMT's with Star Ambulance when they opened in 1982. She also worked at Home Hospital and Raybestos. She was a strong single mom, who raised her daughters. She married, Leslie Herold Wright, on June 3, 1983. She enjoyed working in the yard and flower beds. She loved traveling to Gatlinburg and going on motorcycle rides with her husband. She also enjoyed shopping and her puppies.

She is survived by her husband; two daughters Rebecca Wellhausen and Lori (Garry W.) Pearson; 7 grandchildren, Kari, Nick, Will, Elizabeth, Mark, Hannah, Sam; 4 great-grandchildren, Julya, Jason, Gemma, and Astra.

She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Carolyn Bayless.
