Shirley Jean Jensen

Mrs. Shirley Jean Jensen, 80, New Market, passed away peacefully in her home Sunday morning, August 9th, at 4:26 AM. She was born February 23rd, 1935, in Harlan, Iowa, to Ottis and Iva (Duke) Gearhart, who preceded her in death. She married Lowell G. Jensen. He survives at home.

In addition to her husband, Mrs. Jensen is survived by her five children: David (Beth) Jensen, Van Horne, IA; Pam (Bill) Volenec, Omaha, NE; Lori (Mike) Hoffmann, Des Moines, IA; Rod (Colleen Abston) Jensen, Crawfordsville; and Mark Jensen, Fernley, NV. Also surviving are grandchildren: Willy, Mickala, and Katie Volenec, Omaha, NE; Angel (Justin) Maschino, Indianapolis, IN; Holly (Rob) Hons, Lawrence, IN; Daniel Jensen, Indianapolis, IN; great grandchildren: Jude Hons; Hayden and Hank Maschino; sisters: Sally Bugge, Linda (Lynne) Watson, Mary (Arlan) Cundall, all of Council Bluffs, IA; Carolyn Cox, Arvada, CO; brothers: Daryl, Bill, and Jim (Kathy) Gearhart, all of Council Bluffs, IA; Roger (Judy) Gearhart, Altoona, IA; nieces, nephews, and many other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters: Beverly Gearhart and Sharon Martenson; and brothers: Ronnie, Jerry, and Tom Gearhart.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, August, 11th, at the Eastside Baptist Church, 2000 E. Traction Rd, Crawfordsville, from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, August 14th at the Pauley-Jones Funeral Home, Harlan, Iowa, with a Thursday evening visitation at the funeral home.
