Thomas Ray Willis Jr.

Thomas "Uncle Tom" Ray Willis Jr., age 75, of Crawfordsville, passed away on Wednesday, September 2, 2026, at Whitlock Place. He was born in Crawfordsville on April 19, 1951, to the late Thomas Ray Sr. and Martha Frances (Arnold) Willis.

Tom graduated from Waynetown High School with the Class of 1969 and proudly served his country in the United State Army. He went on to dedicate 47 years at RR Donnelley, where he worked as a hoist driver before retiring in 2017.

Tom was a member of the Bryan Cox American Legion Post 72 and the Eagles. In his free time, he enjoyed golfing and bowling and was a member of a bowling team.

Tom is survived by his two daughters, Michelle (Tom) Norman and Jennifer (Rick) Riley; grandson, Tyler; mother of his two children, Kathy Kunkel; sister, Martha Richardson, sister-in-law Paula Willis; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Homer Willis, Keith Willis, and Jim Bell; and nephew, Terry Willis.

Tom's family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Whitlock Place and Elara Caring Hospice for the kindness, compassion, and care they provided to Tom.
