It is with a heavy but grateful heart that we announce the passing of our beloved Vance Ralph Kelley, who left us far too soon on Saturday, August 2, 2025 from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident. Born on February 18, 1976, in Terre Haute, Indiana, Vance lived a vibrant life that brought joy and laughter to everyone around him.
As a proud resident of Kingman, Indiana, Vance was a true community figure, known for his big heart and infectious spirit. He graduated from Turkey Run High School in 1994 and went on to build a successful career as a business owner. From Vance Kelley Construction to the Kingman Auto Body and State Street Bar and Grill, Vance's entrepreneurial spirit was just another way he brought people together.
Those who knew Vance will remember him as the life of the party, someone who never met a stranger. He had a passion for motorcycles, a love for working on cars, and an appreciation for the simpler pleasures of life like golfing, hunting, fishing, and sharing good bourbon and cigars with friends. Most importantly, he cherished his family, his loving wife Angie, his daughter Alexis, his son Cody, and his treasured grandchildren, Maven, Coleson, and Baylor.
Vance is survived by his devoted wife, Angie Kelley; his daughter Alexis (Joe) Conkright; his son, Cody (Brooke) Bruner; his parents, David Kelley and Judy Kelley; sisters Nikki Kelley and Lee Stockdale; and numerous nieces and nephews, all of whom will carry forward his legacy of love and laughter.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Ralph "Sonny" and Aileen Perry; his paternal grandparents, Donald and Ima "Jean" Kelley; and great grandparents, Vance and Hazel Myers.
In celebration of Vance's incredible life, we will gather together for a visitation at Sanders Funeral Care, 203 S 1st Street, in Kingman on Thursday, August 7, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Join us on Friday, August 8, 2025, at 11:00 AM for a heartfelt funeral service at the same location, where Jeremy Webster will guide us through a tribute to Vance's remarkable journey. Following the service, we will lay him to rest at Wolf Creek Cemetery.
In true Vance fashion, he wouldn't want flowers; instead, we invite those looking to honor his memory to consider a donation to the Southeast Fountain School Corporation, Building Trades Program, 744 E US Hwy 136, Veedersburg, IN 47987. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
Let's come together to celebrate the life of Vance Kelley-a man whose laughter and love will forever echo in our hearts. Share your favorite memories and condolences online at www.SandersFuneralCare.com. We look forward to reminiscing and sharing stories that honor this wonderful man who gave so much to those around him.
