Vera Ruth (Selby) Dye

Vera Ruth Dye passed away peacefully on January 5, 2023 at home. Vera was born on June 27, 1935 to Charles and Lagora (Fruits) Selby. Vera married Donald Dye on October 8, 1955 at New Market Baptist Church. She was a graduate of Alamo High School, Class of 1953. Vera worked at St. Francis Hospital for 25 years.
She enjoyed going to and organizing her weekly crafting group. Vera was interested in sewing, crafting and genealogy. Vera was proud of her garden and canning her home-grown vegetables.
Vera is survived by her husband, Donald; 3 children, Daniel Dye (Paula), Darold Dye, and Donna Paxton (Ashley); 9 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Debbie Jenkins; and her cousin and close friend Barb Eppert.
She was preceded in death by her parents and oldest son, David Dye.
A gathering of friends and family will be held on Monday, January 9, 2023 from 2-4 pm at Sanders Priebe Funeral Care, 315 S Washington Street in Crawfordsville.
