Vera Louise Norman

Vera Louis "Princess Penelope" (Ellis) Norman, age 85, of Tangier, passed away on August 4, 2025 at her home in Tangier. She was born in Clinton on June 16, 1940 to the late Ward and Ellen Jane (Henderson) Ellis.

Vera attended Mount Carmel Baptist Church. She married, Edward Martin Norman on June 22, 1959, he preceded her in death on December 24, 2014. Vera loved spending time with her family and reading her Bible. She enjoyed playing the guitar and cooking for her family.

Vera will be deeply missed by her children, Peggy (Jim) White, Alfred Wayne (Kim) Norman, Tammy (Chris) Goodwin, John Norman; her twin brother, John (Karen) Ellis; siblings, Iva (Bob) Stevens, Carolyn DeMoss, Fred "Chub" Ellis; 66 grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Edward; children, Edward Martin Norman Jr and Susan Corsey; and several grandchildren and siblings.
