Dewey Keith Servies

Dewey Keith Servies passed away peacefully on Saturday October 23, 2021 in Trustbridge Hospice in West Palm Beach, FL. He was born in Montgomery County, Indiana on January 1, 1931 to the late Harley & Lorna (Barker) Servies.

Dewey graduated from New Market High School in 1949 and attended marketing classes at Purdue University. He proudly served his country in the United States Army in the Korean War. In 1953, he married Joyce Reese. After her passing, he married Pat (Mulheeren) Sharkey in 1984. He owned and operated Servies Dairy. He retired from the dairy and operated, along with Pat, Pat Servies Decorating in Florida. He served as a Commander of the Byron Cox American Legion Post 72 and was a member of the Elks Lodge, Moose Lodge and the Crawfordsville Jaycees. He was always up for a good party and playing Santa Claus at family gatherings during the holidays.

He is survived by his son, Jerry (Becky) Servies of Crawfordsville, his daughter, Terry (Rusty) Helms of Brownsburg, and Step-Daughter, Christie (Curt) Shumate of West Palm Beach, FL., 4 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren and 2 sisters, Nancy (Larry) Price of Greencastle and Dorothy (Jerry) Vaughn of Southlake, TX.

He is preceded in death by his parents, wives Joyce Servies & Pat Servies; a sister Betty Williams; and a brother Marvin Servies.

Friends and family may call at Sanders Priebe Funeral Care, 315 S. Washington Street in Crawfordsville on Saturday, November 6, 2021 from 12:00pm until the time of the service at 1:00pm with Rev. Mike Whitacre officiating and military honors by the United States Army and Post 72 Honor Guard.. The service will be live-streamed and recorded which can be viewed on his obituary page at www.sandersfuneralcare.com The interment will follow at Oak Hill South Cemetery.
